FieldAups ("we," "our," or "the app") is a workforce management tool operated by Aupperle Construction. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
We collect only the information necessary to operate the application:
Account information — username, first and last name, email address, phone number, and employee number, as provided by your employer or entered during registration.
Credentials — passwords are stored using one-way hashing (bcrypt) and are never kept in plain text.
Role and trade — your assigned role (e.g., foreman, producer) and trade classification.
Push notification tokens — device tokens used to deliver push notifications through the Expo notification service. We also store the device platform (iOS/Android).
Notification preferences — your per-category delivery preferences (push, badge, in-app, or mute).
Notification history — a log of notifications sent to you, including type, title, body, and read status.
We do not track your real-time location. Job site coordinates are associated with jobs, not with individual users.
We do not collect analytics, usage telemetry, or advertising identifiers.
We do not access your contacts, camera, photos, or any other on-device data.
Your information is used solely to operate the FieldAups application:
Authenticating your identity and managing your session.
Displaying your daily lineup, job assignments, and crew information.
Sending push notifications about lineup publications, schedule changes, and administrative broadcasts.
Enabling dispatchers and administrators to manage personnel, jobs, equipment, and schedules.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
Expo (push notifications) — device push tokens are transmitted to Expo's notification service solely to deliver push notifications to your device.
Your employer — dispatchers and administrators within your organization can view your name, role, trade, and contact information as part of normal workforce management.
Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal process.
All data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Communication between the mobile app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Authentication tokens are stored on your device using the platform's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored or transmitted in plain text.
Your account information is retained for as long as you are an active employee or user of the system. Notification history is retained to provide you with a record of past communications. If your account is deactivated, your data may be retained for operational and record-keeping purposes as required by your employer.
Notification preferences — you can control how notifications are delivered (push, badge, in-app, or mute) through the notification settings screen in the mobile app.
Push notifications — you can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
Password — you can change your password at any time through the profile screen in the mobile app or the admin panel.
FieldAups is a workforce management tool intended for use by employees of Aupperle Construction. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
